About the Project

The Sistem Pemantauan Baja 2.0 (Fertilizer Monitoring System 2.0) is an online platform to ensure the efficient and accurate distribution of fertilizers, thereby enhancing the productivity of rubber and oil palm plantations.

The Challenge

As part of this project, we sought to modernize operations and enhance efficiency through a new system. However, implementing this transformative solution presented several challenges that required careful planning and innovative problem-solving:

  1. System Integration : The integration of the new system with existing external platforms was a critical challenge. The wide variety of technologies and architectures in use created compatibility concerns.

  2. Data Migration : Transferring a significant amount of historical and sensitive data from the legacy system was another significant challenge. In order to maintain business continuity and save priceless historical information, it was essential to maintain data completeness, accuracy, and integrity.

  3. Real-Time Monitoring : Ensuring reliable real-time monitoring in rural areas posed a unique set of challenges due to unstable connectivity. Accurate and timely updates were critical for managing fertilizer distribution effectively.
  4.

Key Features

To address the challenges and meet the project’s goals, the system was designed with several key features that ensure functionality, transparency, and efficiency:

  • User Registration : The system includes a streamlined user registration process, enabling stakeholders to create accounts and gain secure access to the platform. This feature ensures that all users, from farmers to administrators, can utilize the services offered while maintaining a clear record of authorized users.

  • Fertilizer Distribution Monitoring : Real-time monitoring of fertilizer distribution is one of the core features of the system. It provides stakeholders with live updates on the status of fertilizer deliveries, fostering transparency and allowing for timely interventions if any issues arise.

  • Reporting : The system enables administrators to manage reports while providing users access to detailed reports related to fertilizer usage.

The RISDA SPB 2.0 system marks a significant step forward in
modernizing and enhancing the efficiency of fertilizer distribution
monitoring. By leveraging advanced technology and addressing
key operational challenges, the system ensures transparency,
accuracy, and accountability across all levels of operation.
