About the Project
The KPTM Kuantan Dormitory Access App was developed to streamline and modernize the entry and exit procedures for dormitory students. The app integrates advanced mobile technology with an efficient data management system to provide a faster, more secure way for students to access the dormitory. By eliminating manual permissions and waiting for wardens, the app allows students to generate QR/bar codes for easy and quick access.
Additionally, it includes a web-based system for seamless data management and reporting, transforming the overall student experience on campus.
The Challenge
Managing dormitory access for a large student population is no small feat. Traditional methods, such as manual permissions and physical approvals, often led to delays, inefficiencies, and security concerns. Below are some of the key challenges that needed to be addressed:
- Manual Entry Process : The previous system for accessing the dormitory relied on manual entry approvals, causing delays and inefficiencies, particularly during peak hours.
